Lemhi Ventures is a health care services fund formed by a team of experienced innovators, entrepreneurs, and executives. The Lemhi team has been through the start-up process, learned how to grow businesses, and found successful exit strategies. Drawing on varied backgrounds and industry experience, we seek and invest in companies offering innovation in health care services.
We know the challenges firsthand. On the strength of our own experiences as entrepreneurs, we invest with a distinct point of view that balances the disruptive potential of the business model, the talents of the people, and the power of the strategic and operational assets. We contribute financial resources, board-level expertise, and the leverage of our industry connections. With decades of combined experience as analysts, consultants, executives, investors, board members, and entrepreneurs, we offer real-world perspective to the leaders of every company in our portfolio.
Launching a new business is a commitment that is difficult to appreciate until you’ve lived through it. We respect the entrepreneurs with whom we meet because we’ve walked that path. We know that a leap of faith is at the heart of every great innovation. With our investments and our involvement, we help bring those innovations to the market.
Why Venture Capital?
We believe that venture capital is the single most effective business model yet devised to create value. As investors with a point of view, we also believe that venture capital is a lever of change, not simply the means to a financial return.
The venture capital tools we use to identify and invest in promising business ideas and fledgling companies are familiar, but we use these tools differently than traditional venture capitalists. Our initial questions are less focused on deals and immediate financial results than on the potential impact of our investment of time, expertise and capital.
We believe that entrepreneurs have the imagination and the courage to drive change. We invest early when we see potential, or later when we see opportunity to help a company accelerate its growth. We work in close partnership with the leaders of our portfolio companies, serving as board members, advisors, and connectors. We aren’t interested in incremental improvements to the current health care system. We want to change it.
So, if you’re interested in working with us, let’s start with this question: how big is your change?
